For Fingerstick Whole Blood Specimens:
- Clean the finger thoroughly with soap and warm water or with alcohol and allow it to dry.
- Massage the hand without touching the puncture site by rubbing down the hand towards the fingertip of the middle or ring finger.
- Use a sterile lancet to puncture the skin and wipe away the first drop of blood.
- Collect the second drop of blood by gently massaging the finger to form a rounded drop of blood for testing.
For Venipuncture Whole Blood Specimens:
- Collect the venipuncture sample and use it immediately for testing.
- If testing cannot be done right away, store the sample at 2-8°C and use it within 2 days of collection.
Procedure
- Allow the test cassette and specimens to reach room temperature (15-30°C or 59-86°F) before testing.
- Open the test pouch and use it within one hour. Best results are obtained when the assay is performed as soon as possible.
- Place the test cassette on a clean, flat surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 full drop (approx. 30µL) of the specimen to each sample well, then add 2 drops of buffer (approx. 60µL).
- Wait for the colored line(s) to appear. Results should be read at 10 minutes but not after 15 minutes.
Performance Characteristics
The Typhoid IgG/IgM Rapid Test Device (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) was evaluated with 359 samples, and the results were compared with a reference Typhoid EIA (Enzyme Immunoassay). The comparative results are as follows:

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
